Industrial Curtain Tracking

Industrial Curtain Tracking

There are several methods available for you to support the track and each method varies on the structure that you intend to mount to. Some customers hang their tracks from ceiling joists above, while others intend to support the track from cables that hang down from I-beams. One method is not necessarily better than the other, rather it is a function of what you have available and your application.
  1. Consider the location where the industrial curtain tracking will be installed - if it is your intention to install the curtain track outside it is very important that it is constructed from galvanized steel or even stainless steel to withstand the elements. Galvanized steel is not necessarily a lot more expensive than standard steel, but it is however better adapted to resist corrosion which is likely for outside installations.
  2. Determine the total length of the track - If you have 35 feet of curtain, then you should purchase 36 feet of industrial curtain tracking. It is a good idea to order an extra 12 inches of curtain track to have on hand in case something is damaged during installation.
  3. Does the curtain have to be moved from side to side? - If your application requires the curtain to be moved all the way to one side or the other, then it will be a good idea for you to have roller hooks which will support the curtain. these roller hooks are located every 12 inches and feature 1 inch hooks that go through the grommets that are located at the top of the curtain. They allow the curtain to be moved with the ease from one location to another to allow product or people to pass through.
